Career Pathways Program (CPP) is offering veterans, with a priority on recently separated veterans (separation from active duty after 1/1/2005), a chance to acquire high-wage and high-demand careers in Los Angeles County. The program is employer-sponsored and guarantees job placement for participants upon successful completion.
SAFETY ATTENDANT TRAINING PROGRAM
Safety Attendants assist skilled and professional laborers to complete routine maintenance and repair during refinery turnaround season by focusing on safety. Safety Attendant jobs include fire watch, hole watch, bottle watch, and laborer.
• 2 weeks of free training
• 40+ hours of safety training
Requirements:
General Qualifications for Energy Pathway Careers
• Proof of right to work in the U.S.
• At least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Picture ID (Driver's License/Military ID/Passport)
• Social Security Card
• Abilities: lift up to 50lbs, climb up to heights of 200ft, and work in confined spaces
• Must be able to pass drug test
• No misdemeanors or felonies within the last 7 years
• Served in the US Military, Naval, Coast Guard or Air Service
• National Guard and Reservists who have served on active duty or active duty training
• Received an honorable discharge
• Copy of DD214
• Priority on Recently Separated Veterans
o Separated from active duty in the last 4 years (after 1/1/2005)
